All Scripture is Inspired by God

After watching my wife and friends blogging for a while I have decided to join the club and begin my own. It has been an internal debate for some time as to what I should write about. My wife does a great job telling the story of our family. I wanted to journal my thoughts of where God is taking me with the hope of sharing truth. Truth... What is truth? You can't handle the truth! There is no such thing as truth... Actually, yes there is. Truth begins and ends with the Word of God. Jesus said, "I am the way, the TRUTH, and the life. No man comes to the Father except through me."

All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 This verse is where I got my title, though it was not my first choice. I wanted to go with In principio erat Verbum, but it was already taken. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word. Why this verse? Why Latin? Actually my children are learning Latin, and they are memorizing John chapter 1 in Latin. And Greek is too hard.

So, here I go. My, "All scripture is God breathed" weblog. My desire is to write about the ways God uses His Word to transform me with the hope that someone else out there may be transformed as well. I am convicted by Hebrews 4:12 - For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. - The more one reads this incredible book the more it discerns their thoughts and intentions. That is how you are transformed. Romans 12:2 - Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. - When I renew my mind through God's Word I am transformed. Not only that but I begin to understand His will better.

Thank you for joining me on this journey. I look forward to what God has instore. Good night.
